Dyckerhoff Thuringian concrete companies victorious in BTB occupational safety competition

Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Thüringen and Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Schmalkalden serve as examples for continued successful safety in operations

On September 11, 2024, Carsten Scherer (pictured above, far right), Managing Director of Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG and Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Schmalkalden GmbH & Co. KG, was called to the stage twice at the Praxis Transportbeton 2024 Symposium in Hamburg. His colleague Michael Ehrlich, also Managing Director of both companies, and himself accepted the award for occupational safety, which the Federal Association of the German Ready-Mixed Concrete Industry (BTB) awarded this year for the third time to “companies with the lowest number of reportable accidents in the last three years”.

After 2022, Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Schmalkalden GmbH & Co. KG received the coveted award in the category for up to 50 employees for the second time this year together with four other companies that also had no reportable accidents during the assessment period.

In the category with 50 or more employees, Dyckerhoff Transportbeton Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG was the safest ready-mixed concrete company. Allgäuer Betonpumpendienst GmbH & Co. KG won as the safest concrete pumping company.

“The prizes are proof of our good work,” said Michael Ehrlich, summarizing the results. He also thanked all his colleagues who made this possible for their outstanding performance.
